Flash will not work

Before you give up on the camera:

There are many setting that can affect whether the flash works or not.
You may have inadvertently set something that is stopping the flash from working.

Get out your User Manuals and use the index at the back of the book.
Look for something about "Resetting the camera".

This will reset the camera to factory specifications.
Then see if the flash works.

If that does not work ... recharge the battery and try again.

If that does not work, the flash is likely dead.

Flash stopped working

Have you tried to reset the camera to its factory defaults to see if it is a setting that is causing the flash not to fire? To reset the camera go to the menu left arrow to reset - highlight yes and press ok. This will set the camera back to factory settings. See if the flash fires now. If it does then, good. If not, then it is a repair issue with the flash assembly internally in the camera.

Fujifilm FinePix 3800 flash will not work

Normally when the flash stops working it is because the capacitor the camera uses to store the flash power ( that is what charges..not the bulb) burns out. This is a very difficult repair and should only be completed by a camera technician.
If the repair is over 10 dollars I would suggest a new camera.

Flash on camera has stopped working

Have you checked the flash settings, quite often the flash accidently gets turned off, on most cameras the buttton looks like a lightning bolt. Toggle through the settings if it is not on a button on the camera.

Flash not working

Hey influenza,
Nearly dropping the camera should not affect the operation of the flash unless the flash was extended and you caught the camera by the flash and it is somehow physically damaged. What is more likely is the camera is either set to a mode that doesn't allow the flash to operate, or the flash is set to auto off. Directions on how to turn the flash on or off start on page 34 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual in case you need it. I hope this helps!

Flash

Flash board is located on the top of the camera and it contains your shutter and video buttons. It also contains a 330 V capacitor that stays charged. If there is no charge, then the camera will say flash charging. If the camera persistently says flash charging, then the flash on your camera stopped working.

I found a flash board on ebay for 10 bucks plus shipping. To repair the flash involves in taking the camera apart. It is can be tedious but it is rather easy to do. If you are interested, I send you detail instructions.
