No key in ignition, door wide open, press lock-unlock-lock within one second. That will valet the alarm and the led will light up steady. Follow same instructions to remove alarm from valet mode.

Open door, turn on ignition. Press and release valet switch then, press and hold valet switch. Press lock button on remote. Release valet switch, turn off ignition. Test.
The valet button on the Viper 5701 is located on the antenna which is normally installed on the front windshield. Viper calls this button the "control button". Here is a link to the owner's guide:
If the LED is on solid then the alarm is in valet. To exit valet, press "F" twice then press unlock on the remote. The LED should turn off. OR, enter the vehicle, turn the ignition on then off, press and release the valet/programming button on the antenna. LED should turn off

Try this first, unplug the 2-way antenna on your windshield. Let it sit for at least a few minutes. Try recoding the remotes after you replug the antenna back in. This is an issue i have seen on some of the Viper units. Usually they never have issues, but here and there they need reset.
Your alarm got put into valet mode some how
.It's easy to reverse out of it back to normal. First look for a small black push button under the dash somewhere. It's called a valet button. Here are the steps.
1. open door
2.turn key on then off
3.then within 10 seconds hit that valet button once(your alarm light should be off. Tell you arm it again. Then it will blink)

1. Make sure car is disarmed
2. Get in car turn key to IGN position
3. Push valet button one time and let go
4. Push and hold valet button.
5. While holding button push either lock or unlock on keypad of new remote.
6. Siren or horn should sound.
7. Let go of valet button and turn key OFF
8. Test remote
9. Smile and grab a shake ;)
Open door
Key in to IGN position
Push valet (black button) one time and release
Push and hold valet button
Push either lock or unlock on viper remote
Key out of IGN
Test unit
The horn or siren may sound afterwards to indicate SUCCESS!!!!!!
Unlock doors
Push and hold f button for 8-10 seconds until amber light is on solid
Push Remote start button for about 4 seconds till amber light flashes 3 times Put key in to IGN position Push valet (black button) one time and release Push and hold valet button Push either lock or unlock on viper remote Key out of IGN Test unit The horn or siren may sound afterwards to indicate SUCCESS!!!!!!
