Downloading from memory card (IXUS 75)

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Canon's ZoomBrowser or any other photo cataloging program.

1) Select "View" on your camera
2) Select menu - page through until you come to Erase. You then should have an option to either erase frame or erase all.

3) You can also use the format option, that will also clear all data off you card.

If you don't have the instructions, I'd recommend you go to the Canon website, follow links for support and downloads, entering your camera details as you go and download a copy of the user manual/guide.

You could use a separate card reader to download your pics. Then, format the card in the camera.

You probably can't. The best solution is to get a separate card reader and download to a folder you create on your desktop.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

Are you using a memory card or internal memory? If you are using a memory card, get a memory card reader and download the images onto your comp.

YOUR PROBLEM MAY BE SIMPLE. IF YOU ARE USING THE ORIGINAL MEMORY CARD THAT CAN INSTALLED IN YOUR CAMERA THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THIS CARD IS JUST FULL AND HAS NO ROOM FOR ANY OTHER PICTURES. THE STANDARD CARD FOR THE SD-750 IS A 32MB-SD MEMORY CARD THAT WILL HOLD APRX. 20 PICTURES AT A NORMAL JPEG 3072 X 1728 MPIXEL RATING. YOU MIGHT TRY EITHER DOWNLOADING THE ONBOARD PICTURES TO CLEAR THE MEMORY, OR INSTALL A NEW HIGHER CAPACITY SD CARD. I WOULD RECOMMEND A 4 GIG CARD. THIS SHOULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEM.
