Can't open macromedia flash mx

I can't open macromedia flash mx,, i don't have a flash player in my computer,,and i'm having a problem installing it,, My problem is with Directx 9 Flash Player...I purchased a game online and when I tried to play it, I got a message box telling me I needed to upgrade my Flash Player, so I tried that, and got a message saying the reasons it couldn't install Flash Player may be because I didn't have permission to add this...What does that mean?...I'm the owner and always have been...I also got a message box that said, "Access violation at oxoooooo3o, (Tried to read oxoooooo3o), program terminated"...I've done everything and looked everywhere, and have been unable to fix this problem..I've tried to install several times, did restarts, etc., with no results...Can you help me? Thank you, Judimaipie

Is macromedia flash player necessary for opening of html files?

It's not necessary to have Flash to open an HTML file, that's the browser's job. But if there's Flash content on the page, it won't play without Flash installed. You'll probably see a placeholder image where the content would be displayed, and may see an error message.
