Could be fan clutch or clogged radiator. You might want to have your radiator flushed.
The electric control of the fan is not set properly on the car you need to set, try remove the battery wires for 10 minutes and then connect it, if face the same problem again get it checked from the dealer ,it may be small as a fuse blow out to big as a computer failure.

Have you check the thermostat?
You might want to remove it and install a new one see it still overheats.

I changed out the thermostat and still having the same problem.
I have changed out the fan shourd which is all one unit and had the radiator flushed and still the same problem.
I tried removing the battery wires for ten minutes and still same problem. So i took it to the chevy dealer and had the computer reprogramed the mechanic said that the fan would come on now so i ask him what temp the fan came on he said that at 221 degrees and it will cool down to 189 degrees.
