Won't start After two months of no use my dishwasher won't work. I can hear motor running but no water. We tried cleaning by filling with water (priming motor) but nothing happens. Now the dishwasher if full with water, motor makes noise but nothing is happening. Help!!

A defective switch may interfere with your dishwasher's filling ability. Yourdishwasher may not be filling with water simply because the water valve's filter screens are dirty and debris-filled. Gain access to your water inlet valve and try cleaning it out. This might be enough to solve the problem.

Certainly *sounds* like the float is stuck in the over filled position
or possible a bad float switch, if the float is stuck in the up or full position, the d/w will not fill with water and the drain motor will often run all the time

Their is 2 screens towards the back right that are plugged up. . You can take out 2 screws out and clean them up. Or the fill level adjustment in the front left isn't working right. It also can be fixed with 2 screws and cleaned.

Check to make sure there is no residual water underneath the unit, they have a flood sensor and if it is picking up water in the motor area it won;t run.

When I start a new cycle, I first hear the pump run to empty out all remaining water, and after that I hear the motor run for the regular washing cycle, but there is no water in the dishwasher. After a few minutes, the cycle stops, and the washer claims the dishes are 'clean'. When I try starting a new cycle over and over again, about one in 20 times, the cycle will run normally with water. But then the next time, the problem starts all over again. Once a cycle starts correctly, everything works fine, including the rinsing.

If you hear a hum when it should be washing, the motor has seized. Replace motor. If it fills with water and stops quite, run it through a test using the tech sheet under the bottom panel to access. These dishwasher have had issues with the motor.

remove your filter and you will find something wedged in the motor housing make sure you unplug before you start work if not check the capacitor mounted on the motor good luck

Nothing by the sound of it. The humming may mean the main pump is stuck. If you are able, remove the pump & turn the impellor by hand (or screwdriver) just to make sure its free moving. Put it back into machine & see what you get. Could also mean that the capacitor on the main pump (if it is a capacitor start motor) has failed.

the hum is probably the main pump powered up but not turning. the pump is an induction motor and a usual fault is the motor capacitor. try to access it, find the value of the capacitor and replace. it is a cheap part
