Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Sandisk Sansa Clip 2GB not detected by XP SP2

Change the USB Mode to auto-detect and see if you get better results. If that fails, switch entirely to MTP mode.

PC not detecting mp3player and also not able chage

First, make sure the hold switch is not engaged. Then:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

Couldn´t connect SanDisk Sansa e250 to Computer

I don't know what to tell you, but since nobody else is helping. Make sure that you've got the mp3 player plugged into a usb port.

Oh, and hopefully you're running XP or Vista. Sandisk requires it.

My sony VGN N220E does not detect external devices

Try reinstalling your usb ports.

1. goto desktop, right click on my computer and press manage.
2. goto the device manager, find the usb devices / ports.
3. Make sure you are useing a ps2 mouse / keyboard since if your mouse/keyboard is connected to usb they will stop working untill your pc is restarted and the devices are reinstalled.
4. Uninstall all usb devices.
5. after all usb devices are uninstalled reboot the pc.

If the problem is with your drivers ( your pc detects the mp3 player but no drivers found) Download the newest drivers for your product and operateing system from the vendors website.

Failes to detect mp3player

If you are using Windows 95, the player is not supported. If you are using Windows 2000 or XP, it will show the player as MTP player. If the MTP is not shown on My Computer, install the player as removable disk (use Device Manger, find the device connected, right-click on the player icon, and click Update Driver).
