I think it might be a good idea to consider having the appliance replaced, the unit is a fire hazard and judging by the burning smell it is on the way out.

It may be the turntable motor or a bad connection on the control board, especially at the connector, or a bad turntable motor relay.

Replace the magnatron,capacitor and HVdiode, and there will be no more issue .Why i say all those compmnents is because as one goes faulty, the others are effected .Do oh so many micros.my best opinion is that.

tricky one. common denominator to all parts not working could be open neutral track at back of the circuit board, or possibly a relay not switching correctly.Need testing equiptment for that.

Ther are 2 long screws at the top on the left and right side in the cabinet.Remove them carefully it is heavy and will drop hard if you do not hold it while you remove them.If it does not come off then there maybe a release handle on the top left part of the vent you must look carfully hope that helped:)

All MW has a fuse inside to protect the circuit board
Try to replace the fuse
