I have a Sanitaire model S663. It came with the 12" Vibragroom I aluminum roller brush E-53272. Is the Sanitaire Vibragroom II 12" steel roller brush E-53270 interchangeable?

If you go to this URL:
http://evacuumstore.com/c-57-sanitaire-parts.aspx
You will see both of the brush you mention. Compare what they show and if necessary, call the on line store for their input.

Sanitaire vacuum real noisy..poor suction

It could be something has the hose constricted... You might want to do a little more cleaning inside other than just changing the bag... Have you seen the cat lately? Also check the roller brushes to see if they have something like string wrapped around the ends.
Have a nice day !!!

How do I replace the roller brush on a kirby Heritage II?

The brushroll is held onto that baseplate by the metal brackets on either end of it. You have to slightly bend them outward to remove the brushroll.

No power to brushes no result when brush switch activated

If you hear the brush moter running then the belt driving the roller has probably broken. It can be easily replaced by removing the brush plate underneath and pulling the roller out. Replacement belts are available on-line or may be available in hardware stores.Fit the new belt over the steel motor spindle first, then place the belt over the roller and insert the roller.
The belt will break if the roller gets jammed, so buy 2 belts and keep one as a spare.

My Sanitaire vacuum is not picking up well - works ok on floors but not on carpeting

Depending on the model you may have a single or two motor system. If it is not running well in carpet mode but still has suction check to see if the brush for the carpet head is turning. If not look for a red reset switch or spin the brush when the vac is shut off. It it spins freely the belt is either broken or badly stretched and needs replacement.

Hello, I have a Eureka Sanitaire upright vacuum. It is not picking up as well it usual and I notice it no longer has that deep motor sound. What do you suggest?

Does there seem to be good air-flow and suction? If not, look for a blockage somewhere. Otherwise (and more likely because of what you say about the sound), look to the brush roller. Does it rotate when the machine's switched on? If so, maybe the bristles are worn and no longer make contact with the carpet properly. If not, the belt that drives the brush roller is broken and must be replaced. Your Owner Manual will tell you how to do this.  Good luck!

Roller brush not spinning?

THIS GEEN LIGHT MEANS THAT THE BELT HAS COME OFF. THE REPLACEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: FLIP THE BRUSH (RUG RENOVATOR) OVER AND REMOVE THE SCREWS ON THE SILVER GUARD THAT KEEPS THE ROLLER IN PLACE. SLIDE THE ROLLER UP OUT OF THE SLOT, TAKING NOTE ON THE HALF MOON SHAPED SIDE. REMOVE THE OLD BELT(OR WHAT'S LEFT OF IT). PLACE THE BELT AROUND THE MOTOR SHAFT FIRST. THEN AROUND THE WOODEN BARE SPOT ON THE ROLLER. PUT THE ROUND(CIRCULAR) SIDE OF THE ROLLER IN FIRST, THEN CAREFULLY STRETCH THE ROLLER WHILE HOLDING IN THE ROUND SIDE IN ONE SIDE AND ROTATE THE ROLLER UNTILL THE HALF MOON LINES UP TO THE SLOT. PUSH IT DOWN INTO THE SLOT AND PUT THE ROLLER COVER BACK IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALL THE SCREWS. AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANK YOU FOR THE HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA.

Roller brush doesn't move

Here is a online guide....it's for the G series Kirbys. They're similar enough that it should help. Pay special attention to the belt lifting process...it's exactly the same as for the Heritage II, and it's also where I think your problem lies. I have a Heritage II manual available too! Hope I have helped...
