Here's what Philips FAQ says about your convergence procedure:
Question How do I adjust convergence (align colors)? Answer Note: For best results, the Projection TV needs to be turned on for 15 minutes or longer before adjusting the picture tubes (convergence).

Press the INTELLISENSE button on the remote (under the flap). During the convergence process DO NOT press the INTELLISENSE button again and DO NOT move the Projection TV.

So, I think you're going to need to order a replacement remote.

If the model number on the set is 55PP9401/55 you have an interesting set----this model says Philips but was made by Hitachi---they made them for Philips for one year while Philips was gearing up to produce their own sets---very good set and is better than the Philips sets that came after it.
It uses (if it is this model) two STK-392-110 CONVERGENCE IC's----both need to be replaced and the set adjusted---no need for an original remote---with the set engaged in the convergence adjustment mode( there is a micro switch on the front of the main circuit board) A HITACHI REMOTE CAN THEN BE USED TO ADJUST THE CONVERGENCE. it is not reccommended for game console to be played on a projection t.v because projection tv's have three color bulbs in them and the conversion is different and if it happens to work it has been known to have burn the games image in the screen after awhile.. usually the store doesn't tell youthat unless you ask them about playing game consoles on a projection tv

This is a PP15 Philips Chassis Designation.
It's based on the DP15 Hitachi Chassis w/ Different Micro.

It's most likely that the convergence amps have failed and if you have little experience in electronics I'd STRONGLY suggest you take this one to the shop.
This set takes two STK392-110 Ics and it's recommended you upgrade those to the STK392-150s for greater reliability.
They make a nice kit complete with all conv. Ic's and all (6) resistors and complete instructions. Tritronics carries them part # X480295 (Jt22053 Repair Kit).

First, repair convergence problem = replace both convergence
IC's ....STK392-110 sub to upgrade STK394-160E....I use
Hitachi part # CZ 01341.......next, look for discolored resistor
near IC's.....replace with exact value......last = activate

When Replacing the (STK'S Power Pak) for this set you must use OEM parts. After market I.C. will not work!!! They will give you problems like you are discribing. D,TV

The Green is Standard, meaning it is what you should lign the red and blue up with. But if it's not true in shape there is something wrong with the green.
