Fault Code Code F116 (or possibly F117) began flashing. Disconnected power then reconnected power. Now nothing on the cooktop works at all. Confirmed that there is power to the cooktop. Any suggestions? Is there a "re-set" button of any sort?

Smeg induction cooktop flashing E A?

Hi Ross,
The error code E A on your Smeg induction cooktop indicates a communication error between the electronics of the cooktop and the specific burner. This could be caused by a fault in the electronics of the burner, a wiring issue, or a problem with the main control board of the cooktop.
You can try to reset the cooktop by turning off the power supply to it and then turning it back on after a few minutes. If the error code persists, it is recommended to contact Smeg customer service or a certified technician for assistance in diagnosing and repairing the issue.

The red padlock icon that usually unlocks with the 5 second touch of a finger won't unlock the cooktop.

Have you tried disconnecting the whole cooktop from the main supply for about 5 minutes? Sometimes when reconnected the fault goes away.

Had power go off now er flashing on all burners can not reset

It's possible that you had a surge when the power returned that scrambled the controller's brain. Try disconnecting power and reconnecting to restore normal operation. Disconnect power by unplugging the stove from the wall or switching off the breaker that controls it at your main circuit breaker box. Wait a minute or two, then plug the stove back in or turn the circuit breaker back on. If the stove does not work after this, you may need a new controller board.

When an "F" and a number appear in the display and the cooktop beeps you have a function error code.
Touch the CONTROL LOCK pad.

Flashing lights wont stop

Possible this is an error due to a protection and so it cannot switch on the cooker/oven. remove power off and check the coils, check for leak to the body of the oven , if so it can trip on protection. Also check the sensors- thermistor sensors. Check for insulation failure and insects that are trapped.finally check the control panel for moisture and if so dry the panel and reconnect the connectors once again.

Right front (large) burner indicates hot, won't work, flashes F153

I hade a code 153 also. Changed the element(costly-$200) and had to recalibrate the pan sensors(in the manual). All works fine now.

Cook top

Recommend you look up code in owner's manual. Since you did not provide make or model, there is too little to go on here...

Error code

Same thing happened to me. Reset your stove top by flipping your fuse off. The stove top will reset and the error code will go away.
