i looked up reviews and a lot of people are complaining about no battery life they charge it overnight and it might last 4-5 hours and they cant't get it to charge on a laptop I suggest plug it into a USB wall plug if you have one and see if that gives it more life
The battery life is rated at 25 hours for audio and 4 hours for video. If the charge is not holding you can try ensuring device is secured while charging. If this does not work the battery is bad and should be replaced. This is not horrible news, batteries for the GoGear Vibe 4GB are only $10.00.

How long is the charge lasting? If you're only getting half of the battery life you use to get, then the unit needs to be repaired. I can do more research into your model, but normally there isn't a way to change the battery charge display. Please let me know if you're still getting full battery life even though the display is only showing half.
I'll use the information you provide to assist you further. I look forward to hearing from you.
Your battery is recharged when connected to your computer. Turn the player off and connect it to your computer via the USB cord. The computer must be turned on. Initial charge should be for 10 hours with subsequent charges 3 to 4 hours for a full charge. A quick charge of 1-1/2 hours will give you a 70 percent charge. A fully charged battery will last up to 15 hours under normal use.
Hey General Chao, Unfortunately, battery life can largely depend on how any given device is used - the louder the speakers or the brighter the LCD screen, the shorter a battery will maintain its charge. The 25-hour battery life quoted by the manufacturer may simply be an estimate based on the lowest possible settings for player volume, backlight and display settings. This means that the average user will probably encounter a significantly shorter battery life, especially when using maximum volume settings to compensate for ambient noise or other interference. If you're still concerned, remember that you can always contact the manufacturer for further assistance at their toll-free hotline: 877-467-4289. Should your MP3 player be suffering from an actual hardware failure, Insignia may be able to provide you with additional trouble-shooting support or repairs if necessary. Hope this helps you out.
