My G3 phone is flashing the apple symbol while powering up but isn't powering up.

Thank for contacting Fixya, I will be glad to assist you.

What you can do, in order to resolve this issue, is start by resetting your iPhone 3G.
(Note: this does not remove any settings, data or media you have installed in your device)
• To perform a hard reset, press and hold your Sleep and Home Menu buttons for approximately 10 seconds.
• Once your screen goes black, release both keys. (If you see a white Apple logo before you release the keys you have held the keys to long and will need to start the reset process once again)
• The next screens you should see after the black screen, is the Apple logo screen followed by the main screen.

• This hard reset process should help bring your iPhone 3G back to normal functionality.

It would also be advisable to connect your iPhone 3G via its docking cable and provided wall socket adapter into a working wall socket in order to try and charge it.

If your iPhone 3G still does not charge, try connecting it with the docking cable to your computer or laptop to observe if it will take a charge then.

Should this process also not affect the way the iPhone charges, then you should look into using or purchasing another iPhone docking cable, as the cable itself may not be functional and needs to be replaced.

Docking cables for iPhones are fairly inexpensive (Under $20) and can be found in most electronics/computer stores that carry Apple products and accessories.

Finally, if a replacement docking cable does not help the iPhone 3G charge, this may be a hardware issue and you would be advised to take the iPhone 3G in to your local Apple retail store or Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area.

How can i open a account for iphone 3G without

Hello
To download applications on iPhone, you need to open an Apple ID. Once your apple id is created (on apple website), you can download apps from your iphone. When the app is free, it will not be charged.
hope that helps

I am thinking of getting and Ipod touch 3G. I have JBL on stage micro Speakers. I've charged a Ipod touch 2G, but I want a 3G! Please Help!

When the OnStage speakers first came out, the charger was not compatible with 3g iPods or iPhones. Newer speakers have an upgraded charger and will charge all current iPods/iPhones (up to and including iPhone 3Gs)

Bad news is that there's no way to upgrade an old OnStage.

You can test yours by trying an iPhone 3G (if you have a friend with one, for example) to see if you have the old or the new charging circuit.

My iphone 3g won't charge, what do i do?

Hello.

If your iPhone won't charge with your power cable, car phone charger or connected to your PC, then I'd suggest to replace the battery.

If still within the warranty period, contact your provider.

Hope this helps.

I can't get my iPhone 3G to detect other bluetooth devices. Some devices detect it, but are unable to pair with the Iphone 3G. This iPhone 3G bluetooth problem is another one in a chain of iPhone 3G...

The iPhone unfortunately does not pair with just any device, it would be best to check compatibility before purchasing a new peripheral for your iPhone.

Iphone 3G and Teac SR-L200i-W

You'll probably need a charging adapter like the Scosche Passport, avaiable via the Apple Store.

IPhone 3G Troubleshoot

unless the dock is made for the 3g version of the phone rather than the '2g' version it may not work and even if it recognises the phone will not 'charge' the battery this is due to the pins that received the 12 volts of many docks being disconected in the new 3g phone so you have to charge via a usb which uses other pins for this purpose
