Need to reinstall my printer software. how do i do that? thanks.

I was successful in reinstalling my printer software on my laptop as long as i was connected to the desktop. as soon as i disconnected the printer wire from my laptop
the printing stopped. so i suppose its a router issue.
what do you think?

If you would reinstall your printer software then you should have cd installer for it.if you dont have then that another problem but we could solve that by looking at the website for its software installer.

go to printer and faxes right click and uninstall than if you replug the printer it should automatically reinstall the drivers.

You can download the required installation drivers and software from manufacturer's site by clicking this link
On the page which opens, select the operating system (Windows XP/Vista,etc..) of your computer to download the appropriate drivers and software.

Just go to the lexmark website search and browse their products there. If you find now the model of your printer unit you can download the software of your printer.

reinstall your printer driver to repair the damage or corrupt one. If you have CD Driver in your printer then insert it in your DVD/CD ROM and reinstall your printer driver else if you on't have the CD Driver then download here: Epson Stylus Driver

HP2601xi says I need software when I push the scan button

Uninstall the printer then reinstall it. the software went bad,biut it wil have to uninstall first. The other option is to disconnect and uninstall within windows itself, the reinstall.
