Start by removing the foil and cutter. Then remove the swivel frame by removing the two tiny screws on each side of the inside of the swivel frame.
To open the shaver you will first need to remove the two round screw covers on the bottom. Then remove screws. You can then gently pry the two halves apart from the bottom
If you look at the bottom of the shaver, you'll notice there are slots that (if you had the right tool) can be used to rotate the round bottom piece in one direction (I refer to the the round piece has the 2 charging pins inside it.). That round piece is geared inside the shaver, and engages a geared piece of plastic that slides and can push the shaver open from the inside. An elegant touch. But as noted, one can pry gently without using this feature.
I mention this because this shaver-opener assembly can become misaligned, such that the charging plug won't fit after the shaver is closed. The sliding piece has to be in the right position. I had to deal with this tonight, while replacing my shaver's NiCd battery for the 2nd or 3rd time. (Yes, these are very good shavers).
And oh, those tiny screws at the swivel frame, I was afraid of losing them. They are not attracted to a magnetized screwdriver, either; one must manually insert them to start.
