Oven Failure Code F1

About an hour after cooking with the oven the F1 code lit and beeped. If I cut the power to the unit at the circuit breaker, the code clears and the oven operates normally for cooking. When the oven is turned off (pushing the "cancel" button) the F1 failure again occurs during cool-down. I have the same problem.

It could be a failing control panel. I would get a service guy to look at this.

F1 error relay circuit failure

Hi This is the Alarm system watchdog circuit :

The system has detected a failure in the internal watchdog element , relay circuits and will atcivate a cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digets and will beep until the cancel button or another funtion is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure the ERC is picking up a comand to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrain. The watchdog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control ERC board.

My frigidaire oven is displaying F1 on the display case. I had something cooking in the oven and then the breaker popped. I went out to check the breaker box and turned it back on. Now the oven is just...

The F1 code indicates a control failure. Try pressing a key to see if it displays on the screen. If not, the keypad may have shorted and requires replacement.

If the keypad is fine, there is perhaps a problem with the internal checksum; disconnect the power for 30 seconds and reconnect it. If the code remains, you must replace the electronic oven control (EOC).
- If the F1 code appears when the oven is running, it means that the oven senses an overheating condition. Use an external thermometer to check the temperature inside the oven.
- If it is accurate, it means that either the temperature sensor probe or the control relay has malfunctioned. Disconnect the power, and inspect the sensor probe, replacing it if necessary.
- If the oven is actually overheating, replace the EOC.
- If the oven is allowed to overheat, the resulting damage is possibly so extensive that the entire oven may require replacement.

Hope helps.

Jenn-Air SCE 30600, oven error codes F1 and Probe

An F-1 error code on your model means the element was energized when it should not have been, A shorted interconnect harness or failed power relay board.

A probe indication could be a failed meat probe jack or bad harness in a unit that has one. In a unit without a meat probe, suspect a bad board.

Both conditions would warrant bringing in a tech.

Before you do, turn off the circuit breaker fot 3 miutes and turn it back on. This will reboot the boards. If problem persists, the call a service tech.

Dacor oven beeps and shows F1 code

-F1- Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit”
The system will detect a failure in the internal watchdog element relay circuits and will activate a
cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digits and will beep until the cancel button or another
function is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure
the ERC is picking up a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrane. The
watch dog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control (ERC)
