Follow these steps :
•1
Reset the bridge. Accomplish this by manually disconnecting the power source from the wall or the back of the bridge. Leave it disconnected for 30 seconds to a minute so that the software contained therein can fully reset. Reconnect the bridge and wait two to three minutes until the network is back up and running again. In many cases, a simple reset can solve your network-related bridge problems.
•2
Ascertain whether there is network activity on your computers. Accomplish this by looking at the back of each computer at the network card. There should be two lights next to your Ethernet port--at least one of these lights should be completely lit without flickering. This indicates that the network card in the machine is operational and ready to receive a signal, eliminating that as a possible problem source.
•3
Move the bridge to a different location to determine whether interference is preventing the network computers from receiving a proper signal. If possible, relocate the bridge to the same room in which the computers are located and try to reset the connection again.
•4
Determine whether the bridge has failed altogether or whether the wireless signal from the bridge has failed. Accomplish this by physically connecting the computers to the wireless bridge through the use of Ethernet cables. If this restores network connectivity, you know that the only problem with the bridge is the wireless signal emission.

Wireless is nonexistant

You need to bridge mode your modem. And when set it to bridge mode already. Connect the dlink router. Access the gui of the router. Enter there your username and password. Powercycle modem, router and computer. Check connections. I f this didnt work, set again your modem to default, connect your router. Configure your router with username and password. Powercycle again. Check if it is working.

I purchased two netgear wall plugged bridge XE102. They worked fine for one month. Now I get messages on my computer do not detect homeplug adapter. On my TV it say's is not hooked to the internet. What is...

I had the exact same problem those branded ones at our shop where one just stopped working all together.
THeres a couple of things to rule out so you can try some steps to figure it out.
Try changing the port on the router where the first plug is hooked into, if you can, try a direct connection without the plugs aswell. Also, try inserting the plugs in different outlets and see if anything has changed. If they're only a month old, they are still under warranty and you could get them replaced either through ytour place of purchase or from netgear aswell.

You can select your router from that list to get most of the information. You can request another disk free of charge from d-link by contacting customer support.

Bridging 2 different types of router

Yes, you can bridge two different brands of routers. It is not the router but the protocol that the router uses that makes it incompatible. But because of the way you are set up you will not have any problems with different brands. Both will use DHCP to get your IP address..

Tring to bridge my 2wire

Why do you need to bridge?

Can't you use both devices off the one router?

usually to bridge you would need, effectively , 2 extra access points to set as the bridges, they then connect to the other routers, allowing communication between the 2.

I do know 2wire is slightly different but you would still need something to act as a bridge on the netgear end.

I still don't understand why you need both routers running. Connect both your computers to the same router which has the internet connection.

Hope this helps

Two way routing.

You will always have a problem because the subnet is different. Your solution lies at the Server Level if you have two different servers one must become the 2BDC, other wise you will need more hardware to setup a bridge contact D-Link as to the equipment you will need.
