AGFAPHOTO DC730i NEWLY PURCHASED. USING A 4GB SD CARD, GET ERROR MESSAGE "CARD ERROR" ON STARTUP (CARD INSERTED SEVERAL TIMES) AND ALSO WHEN I ATTEMPT TO FORMAT GET "FORMAT ERROR". SD CARD WORKS OK IN ANOTHER CAMERA (SAMSUNG S760). I BOUGHT 2 OF THE 730i AND BOTH EXHIBIT THE SAME ERROR SO IT'S NOT(?) AN INDIVIDUAL CAMERA FAULT. COULD IT SIMPLY BE THAT THE 4GB SD CARD IS TOO BIG ? OR COULD PREVIOUS FORMATTING IN THE SAMSUNG RENDER THE CARD 'UNREADABLE' IN THE AGFA ? NEED THESE FOR NEXT WEEK SO ANY CURE/ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED !! THANKS

The S50 works with SD cards. Your new 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
Hi dude utkarsh...
You did not mention what size SD memory card you are using, according to the website below, you can only use up to a 4 GB SD card.
If your using over a 4 GB card then the player will not work properly.
If you are using a 4 GB card or less, try using another card in the machine, it may be a malfunction in the card you bought.

The S50 uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card, and will not work in the S50. You will have to confine your choices to cards 2GB and smaller.
I'm guessing you bought a new 4GB SDHC card. Although it looks exactly the same as a standard SD card, the format the card uses is very different. If your camera is more than a few couple years old, it's likely it was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with older cameras.
For older cameras, you'll need to use standard SD cards (usually those 2GB or less). But if you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for 4GB SD "non HC", with the non HC in quotes. Believe Transcend makes one.
