Either the "mode" switch on the handlebar is vibrating or there is an issue with the auto detect circuit in the aux section of the radio. Check the bar switch first. If that is good, radio will need to be repaired.

06 and newer...contact Iron Cross Audio
05 and older...contact Radio Sound.

Testimonial: "This seems to help for short while still goes to aux but takes a little longer to go there, maybe time to replace unit. Bikes a 08 /22000 miles "

turn off the radio, then push the volume knob in until a menu comes up. I think the first option is changing time, push the knob to the right to go through the menu and you will see AUX:off, push the knob up to turn it on. good luck!

Aux problem

You have to go into the standby menu and turn aux on. Go to standby, push menu button and scroll down to aux and turn on

I can't figure out how to get the player into mp3 mode. There is the button that changes between CD and tuner, but that doesn't do it.

Here's what they don't tell you: AUX isn't automatically an option when you scroll through the SRC button. You have to turn it on. I know, I know...stupid. I had to contact Kenwood (the maker of the unit) directly to get an answer.
  • First, press the SRC button repeatedly until it displays STANDBY.
  • Then hold down the Menu button until MENU is displayed.
  • Next press up or down on the right control knob, to scroll up or down, until AUX OFF is displayed.
  • Next hold the right control knob to the left or right until Aux switches on.
  • Now just press the Menu button to exit.
  • AUX will now be an option when you scroll through the SRC button

HELP! ipod wont work.

Hi guys, just figured out how to hook up your Ipod to the above mentioned stereo, Here is how...

- Put your stereo in STBY mode, then push the menu button, scroll up or down and you get different options to change clock and AUX settings, my AUX was OFF and I had to select ON. Now you can push your Sorce button (the one that puts the stereo in STBY) and you will have the AUX option this will allow you to play your MP3 players and Ipods. ENJOY!

I spent a few hours looking for this very explination so I hope this saves the rest of you some time. Safe driving.

Sound output

hmmmmm is the CD scratched? if you transfer it to the computer, then to the MP3 and the CD is scratched then it comes out all wonky but if the CD is scratched then just ignore it, and heres how you can tell that its the CD not the MP3 ;
some songs are not scratched if all were scratched then the MP3 doesn't work properly.

and thats it

Not being able to access my aux input

Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.
