I CANNOT FIND HP MEDIA SMART IN MY COMPUTER BECAUSE IT IS REFORMATTED,AND IN HP MEDIA SMART IS WHERE I CAN TAKE PHOTOS . . .SO NOW WHERE CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?

Well, I assume you mean that this is the device you use to get the photos off your camera's memory card and not some kind of new camera interface :)...

A quick fix would be to let Windows do an update. Sometimes Windows Update will load the proper driver for your media card and then all is well. If not, then a trip to the HP web site is in order.

In all actuality, the HP site is pretty good about labeling their drivers. The only thing you have to do is surf to their Support local (i.e., the Support tab on their site). In the top available box, type in your particular model number and hit enter.

The next option you'll be offered is which version of Windows your running. In the next example is one of the more likely areas that you will find the proper driver for your media reader...
Theoretically, run the program (let it do it's thing, don't start changing things up) and Viola! Reboot and your media drive is back.
