My touch screen wont work. what can i do? its only the touch screen that wont work, if i slide it open and type its fine, i just can't get to the menu or anything. please help! asap!

If the screen is cracked then that is why it will not recognize your touch. It will work normally but when the phone has had enough it will stop working. Hoping you have insurance, you need to replace it or see if they can restore it in any way at the apple store.

Try to do a hard reset. Hold the home button down and the lock button at the same time until the apple pops in the middle of a black screen. Keep holding past the "slide to shutdown" until you get the apple. That should work for you. Hope this helps!
hmm I've never heard of this, it sounds like your touch screen still works so I don't know.
try talking to apple 00800-7666-7666 (off the top of my head i think)
my ipod touch (16gb) did the same thing.
it has a large crack in the screen though. someone pushed me, and it fell out of my hands. for awhile it worked perfectly.. until it got froze onm that screen as well.
