Have a Rheem PTG-74PVP tankless water heater. Shuts off after a few minutes while taking a shower. Get a code 76 C8

Error 76 can mean communication failure between tankless and remote control, which can include bad remote control, bad wire, bad wiring connector, or PC board failure.

Basement was flooded and water cover electronics,

TURN OFF ELECTRICITY before touching gas or electric water heater this is or was flooded.

Replace flooded gas or electric water heater.
Warranty is void, all manufacturers say replace water heater, and even if parts are replaced, there is no guarantee that unit will work again.

Water and ice is not working , this is a new unit and no when i connected water line, water will not flow to ice maker and or water despensor, it sounds like its working and or trying but water will not...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
On a new unit if you did not purge the water supply line it will take quite a while before you see water in door. You have to fill the tank in the door and then you will eventually see water out the dispenser. Just hold the water in door arm depressed with a glass until you notice water coming out. It should not take more than 3 minutes of continuous actuation to see water though the door.

It can be 8 to 10 hours before you ever see any ice production and the first batch of cubes may be small. After the first batch they should be regular sized. The freezer has to reach between 14 - 16 deg F before the themostat in the ice-maker actuates the harvest cycle.

Let me know if this does not work. Please do not start taking things apart as your unit is under warranty you may VOID your warranty.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Water not flowing out..the icemaker works fine, but when you select water, water does not flow out....what should I look at?

you can take a peice of weed eater line and stick through the water line in the door and see if it goes all the way through. If not then there is frozen water in the line.
if there is a coupler on the bottom of the door disconect it and try to dispence water if the water comes out there then the water valve is good and you need to defrost the line i the door a blowdryer usually works for this but it does take some time

The ice maker works, I poored water directly to the ice maker and it works, don't understand what you mean with alligator clips, should i just take the hose leading to ice maker off, the intake water valve...

Wrong! ok what it is you have a double water valve. 1 valve goes to the ice maker and one goes to the water dispensor. what you need to do is take the valve that goes to the ice maker by tracing the water line from ice maker to the valve and jump it direct with 110 volts. if you get water by doing that the ice maker is bad if you dont get no water that way it will be the water valve

The washer will not start to take water

make sure the water is turned on, and if it is check kinked hoses,
check clogged inlet screens at water valve, or replace water valve,

The water dispenser in my frig stopped working but it still makes lots of ice. I replaced the filter on 29 Dec 2007. I normally get 6 months out of a filter.

We had same problem! The water line gets frozen in the door, and there is no way to get to it. But, I took some 14 gauge electrical wire and would get one end hot by putting it under hot water, then put that end up the water line in the door. This might take several attempts, but it will work. A little piece of ice about 2 inches long will come out.

Machine stopped taking conditioner

Also, if the solution that you have above doesnt work, some model washers use a computer board to control the flow of water through the dispensers.  Not usually likely that they go bad, but they do.  If cleaning it like the first solution doesnt work, it may be a bad board, bad water control valve (the one that controls dispenser water), or bad timer.  Hope your first solution works for sure, usually does.
