My akai lcd 32.5" tv will not stay on and all it does is flash the blue screen with akai then turns right back off and i was thinking power suply might be bad. what could it be?

the power cord goes all the way into the tv itself and all it does is come on the blue screen then flashes to a black screen for about 2 seconds then turns off and the green power led light on the front goes from green to red then off the power cord goes all the way into the tv itself and all it does is come on the blue screen then flashes to a black screen for about 2 seconds then turns off and the green power led light on the front goes from green to red then off

pull the power cord out of the back of the TV keep pressing the power button until all the power is drained out,then keeping the power cord switched on at the wall plug it back in to TV you'll here a little popping noise as the plug hits the pins but it's fine. wait a couple of seconds if nothing comes on the screen press the power button on the front panel ONCE.
