I was wondering about upgrading my ze4325us laptop with a 40 gb to a higher one. Can you tell me all the hard drive I can use that would work with my laptop?
Thank you for your time.....
I know the original question is over a year old, but here it goes for those just tuning in. Your HP ze4325us can only recognize a hard drive that is under 137.4GB. If you try to install a hard disk larger than 137.4, your computer will start to fail over time. I would recommend a 120GB hard drive, ata-100 / ide / eide, and spinning up around 5400 or 7200 rps. It would make your task easier. If you want to go bigger, use the hard drive manufacturers disk utillities programs (check manufacturer website) to partition and format before installation. So, if you were to puchase a 160GB drive, you could partition it at 137.4GB and 22.6GB. My advice, make it easy and just find a 120GB drive. Less hassles!
Make sure you get eide ata-100 hard drive - not sata
Have a look here for larger drives; http://www.computerorbit.co.uk/items.html?Cc=HDDLAPTOP&iTpStatus=0&Tp=&Bc= If you cannot access it directly, click Hard Drives in the left hand menu, the Laptop Hard Drives from the sub menu.
