Lost audio while watching DVD. The receiver just shut off but the video kept playing. Happened several times and with 2 different DVDs. I can re-start it and it works for a few minutes then happens again.
    Any advice?

Same problem. When I turn it back on, it plays for a few minutes, then audio clicks off again. Tried different DVDs, recycled several times.

Have you tried to select direct stereo?
This seems to be a problem with the more sophisticated components of dennon AVR's.

Make sure your receiver is set to either "auto-select" or "digital" rather than "analog" (button on front display).

How can I connect my I pod Touch to my Denon AVR 1803 receiver?

The best way to connect an older IPod or other MP3 player to the AVR-1803 is to use a 3.5 mm (M) to RCA audio cable. This will work for audio on all IPods (and video on some of the older IPods). Here's an example: http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Audio-Video-Cable-iPod/dp/B000STBSU4 . Connect the 3.5 mm end to the headphone jack; the RCA plugs go into one of the AVR-1803 RCA inputs.

For some IPods, try a connector like this: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-iPod-Connector-Cable/dp/B000CBFVXS . This connects to the docking port on the IPod.

I hope this helps.

How can I connect my I pod Touch to my Denon AVR 1803 reveiver?

Connect the 3.5mm cable to the iPod headphone output and the two RCA plugs into any unused analogue audio input on the Denon AVR 1803. Then choose the appropriate input on the Denon, press play and enjoy the music. Be careful about volume. Start with the volume on the iPad low and adjust to suit.
Cheers, Don.

I have a Denon AVR-1707 with a center, 2 front speakers, and surround sound back speakers. When set to FM radio, all speakers work. When set to TV, only one side speaker works. Any ideas? It worked fine...

Follow the sound back to its source. FM is internal so it can't possibly have a cabling issue.

I imagine your TV sound ultimately originates from a cable box which has a nice juicy digital output that the Denon could use. Why route audio through a TV, like the manuals tell you, when you can get it straight to the best audio device without a detour to a TV and its dubious audio electronics?

Denon AVR 1804

You need to get the manual and do some reading first. I couldn't find the AVR-1804 but the AVR-1803 is avaiable. It should be close enough to get you through connection and setup.

Shuts off then red light indicator flashes, disconnected all speakers but still wont work

Hi, this is a power board issue. remove the cover and make sure that this unit doesn't have blow fuse. if the fuse is fine, you will then need to replace the integrated power/ main board.

I have no sound from amp wen i have the tv on.the dvd sound is ok

You have to also connect the audio from the devices to the Denon. Unless you are using HDMI I would use the Denon as the audio / video switcher and the plasma as a monitor only (video lcable from Denon to plasma or you can connect all your devices to the plasma audio / video and use the audio out from the plasma to an input on the Denon (Aux, Video or VCR

Problem to find radio station on tuner?

Hello,

FM ( at least in the USA) only goes 90.1-90.3-90.5 and so on.
This is how stations are separated.
There are no stations on 90.4 or 101.6 and so on

Audio problem when connecting to a PS3

It seems the Denon and PS3 don't play nice together on DTS. If you take off the DTS setting, then the PS3 will use DD and you'll get surround for games and movies.
