You could try reprogramming the remote: ignition on, press and release programming switch 3 times, you will hear one chirp( channel 1),press the lock button, press and release the switch 1 time ( two chirps, channel 2), press the unlock button, press and release switch 1 time ( three chirps) press green remote start button, press and release switch 1 time ( 4 chirps) press option button. Turn ignition off. test. If this doesn't work, try disconnecting the unit's power for about ten seconds, then reconnect and test.

If the remote is making the noise that it normally make when shutting down, it will probably also say "inhibit" on the remote. You have two inhibit or shutdown wires. One is the brake and the other is the hood pin switch. If you had recent mechanical work, check the hood pin switch first. Try holding the hood pin switch down with one hand and remote starting the vehicle with the remote. If the vehicle starts, adjust the pin switch so that it makes contact with the hood when closed. If it's the brake shutdown wire, then the remote starter is reading 12 volts from that source. There could be a bad brake switch or it's connected to the wrong wire.

Viper 5101 no longer starts

are your brake lights functioning properly? remote starts sometimes use this as a fail safe, or a bent hood pin switch? Also It may need the tach reprogrammed if used. there may be a seperate fuse for the starter.
here is the link to the installation manual: http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/ig/viper/n4102v_2008_09_web.pdf
and the page regarding this issue: • The remote start will activate, but the starter never engages.
1. Check for voltage on the purple starter wire two seconds after the remote
start becomes active. If there is voltage present, skip to Step 4. If there is
not voltage present, advance to Step 2.
2. Check the 30A fuses.
3. If the gray/black wait-to-start wire is detecting ground upon activation, the
starter will not crank.
4. Make sure the purple starter wire is connected on the starter side of the
optional starter kill/anti-grind relay.
5. Does the vehicle have an immobilizer? Some immobilizer systems will not
allow the vehicle to crank if active.
6. Check connections. The heavy gauge remote start input wires on the
heavy gauge 10-pin connector should have a solid connection. "T-taps"
or "scotch locks" are not recommended for any high current heavy gauge
wiring.
good luck.

Car dies when I use my remote start and press the lock or unlock button

This is most likely caused by the car's anti-theft system. Most newer cards require a separate module to be installed to override the anti-theft system while the remote start is in use. Otherwise, when the anti-theft system detects an anomaly, it will immobilize the vehicle.
DEI makes a 556H module for this purpose. The link shows the instrall manual for this device.

2006 bmw 325i remote only unlocks driverside door. will not unlock all doors when you lock it from the inside. have to use key in remote to open door. also central button to unlock doors is inop

fuse 56 and 57 control central locking, the issue is caused by surges typically in the front door lock actuators, normally at a dealer they would replace fuse 56 and 57 with a 20a mini fuse and if still occuring repl the door lock(s) that dont work or typically both front, first replace fuse 56 and 57 with 20a fuses as were too small from factory and than operate ten to 15 times, if it doesnt work at first dont panic, let the car go to sleep which takes about 16 min and than try again this problem has nothing to do with the key fob or the lock unlock button inside, also the fuses are located behind the glove box just rere the access panel and they are found at lower left section

I can't disable my anti theft device on my chevy malibu 2004 and my car will not start

This usually works.Lock the doors with the remote.Press lock twice sounding the alarm. Then press the unlock button twice.Your car should start now.If that doesnt work try this,Lock the car again with the remote once.Go over to the passenger side door and use the key to unlock the door then press in the door unlock all doors.Hopefully by now it worked. Now if none of these work your security probably malfunctioned and theres only two things that will work,One is disconnecting the battery for 5 mins then reconnecting.unlock doors.the start. If that doesnt work you'll have to take it to the dealer to get the security reset or replaced. The steps I have wrot you are the diagnostics to reset it.I hope these work for you and good luck.See ya had have a great day..
