Hello,
For Windows Vista download the software here.
For Windows XP download the software here.
You MUST do this to install the new software and driver.
1.) Uninstall any HP software you now have installed for the printer or by deleting the F380 icon in the Printers subMenu under Start menu.
2.) then reboot with your printer disconnected from the PC by removing the USB cable, Firewire cable from the printer.
3.) Install the new software you've just downloaded and when prompted to do so by the install routine, and only then, connect your USB cable.
4.) Reboot the PC. Windows may indicate after you've just rebooted or after you've connected the USB cable, that you have new hardware attached and 'would you like to install it' ignore these prompts and click cancel from the Windows prompt.
If you still have a problem you can find the HP diagnostic software for Vista here and XP here.
As always, comment back to me if you need further assistance and keep this in mind: our Experts Email Responder that tells us when you've comment back to us from this solution page is down for the moment but, I will check back on this tomorrow and until you comment your problem is solved or need further help. We are all here to help you not try to help but stick with you until your problem is fixed.

Worldvet

HP does a pretty good job of keeping the software online and accessible. I suggest you go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&dlc=en&product=1128296&
And choose your drive based on the OS you are using.
