Will not load.

Hello

ok, I made a mistake with mi acer e380 desktop. I moved the computer into another room and in doing so unpluuged my computer. When i re-plugged everything back together my screen wasn't working saying "no signal". After a couple of hours of turning the computer off by unplugging the computer through the a/c cord. I had realised why my screen would not work (wrong port for monitor).

Now the real problem is that my computer will not load. It will turn on, but will come to the black screen with the option of the three safe modes and normal xp start. I have tryed all three of the options and the safe mode options all freeze and automatically restart themselves after about 30 seconds to a minute. When i choose to load it normally, it will start to load up to the windows xp loading screen, but that also doesnt load and the computer again just restarts.

I need help. Please help me a.s.a.p.

p.s. Tell me there is a way out of reloading XP, because i don't want to lose my files etc.

Cheers

My old computer had a problem like this, i think the only way to fix a problem like this would be to reformat your hard drive and reinstall your operating system, which would delete everything on your hard drive...if you do not want to lose the files on your hard drive, you can hook up the hard drive to a different computer as a secondary drive and take the files you need off of it...then put the drive back in the original computer and reformat...after that just put back the files back on the original computer with a flash drive or an external hard drive...
cant think of another way to solve this

SOURCE: Computer will not load.

use safe mode..do a disc clean, defrag..and then reboot...sounds like the operating system headers went unhappy when you moved it(which I highly recommend you NOT do again)..

Hi there , how do i completly reset my Acer Aspire E380 desktop computer to factory settings again . i have backed up everything i need and i just want to start again completely and wipe it all. any...

Hi.

With that desktop computer being new it should have a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive that allows you to perform a factory restore which will take it to how it was when you took it out the box.

To access the recovery partition on your Acer computer for recovery, follow the steps listed below.

1. Power on the computer
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the Alt key and press the F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings
4. Click OK to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image which should take approximately 10 minutes.
6. Once eRecovery has run, press OK to reboot the computer.

Hope this helps!!!

Regards.

Shut down my computer aspire e380 then disconnected the monitor from the computer and power to move it. reconnected the monitor turned the computer back on and monitor says no signal.

make sure all the plugs are plugged in snuggly turn off the computer again then turn on the screen. next power on the computer. if that does not solve the problem you may have an issue with the video card.

It should not matter as long as the antenna is not surrounded by metal.

Acer aspire e380. does anyone know the dvd drive speed???

When you load your DVD software, there should be a menu option that will query the drive and report the maximum speed for both DVD and CDROM reads and writes.

Hello my acer e380 all of a sudden quit playing audio

There probably is a problem with your sound card. Go to Device Manager (start>programs>rightclick My Computer>hardware) and see if there is a yellow, red or black mark next to sound card. Click the "+" sign and click on update drivers...if that does not fix the problem then the sound card needs to be replaced..good luck. Let me know if you have any problems..

Installing HDD

well..the power supply is most likely ok..what you'll need is an interface cable, which is of one of two kinds..if it's new, it's a SATA drive cable, otherwise, it's going to be Eide or IDE..

are you certain that drive is compatible?
