my laptop charger got hot one day and so i unplugged it and let it cool. Now it won't charge reliably, probably one time out of every 5 I plug it in will it charge the laptop. It emits a sound somewhere between a beep and a squeak when it isn't charging. I have noticed that when it does charge there is some sort of shock/static that comes out. It's never hurt me and it could be my imagination because I have only seen it and not felt it even when holding it. Thanks.

Get a new one, or if you have some technical know how you can unscrew the middle part and see what really wrong. Something has probably melted. I have two batteries and both of them I took to Britain and since then I noticed the hotness cause I just replaced the front wire with a british one. So ya Repleace it, try toget it fixed or fix it yourself. I can be dangerous.

Same with me what i did was, i plugged it in while shut down until 100 percent..this wont fix the problem but reduce it, put the color qaulity down will help a little bit, lower your graphics options, and other stuff. if your online gaming or using something that has high graphics it might be the case.

Many of HP's laptop power supplies get very hot when in use. I've never had a problem with mine, per se, but my girlfriend and her brother both have the same laptop, and theirs get as hot as mine. Her brother's stopped working one day, and I took it to my shop. It provided 18.5 (actually 18.87) volts perfectly fine under no load, but when plugged into the laptop, it would get hot and after about 5m, stop providing voltage. After getting inside (NOT an easy task) the problem appeared to be a group of solder joints that had, due to heat expansion and contraction, lost all but partial contact with the circuit. When the charger would get hot, the board would flex and the circuit would break. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I should be able to fix the problem by resoldering the offending joints.

Check your computer's web site for a recall on its chargers. you may have a potential fire lurking with the one you got. I can see it getting warm, but not HOT!

Most of this series of HP laptops overheat because the coolijng fan grills get clogged with lint and dirt. You just need to get a can of compressed air and blow them out.

Digital camera batteries go bad?

Yes the can go bad.
I still have 9 year old Kodak lithium batteries in good condition, nut I know sometimes my rechargeable batteries last no longer then a year. It is a shame that some camera brands only give a 90 day warranty on the batteries.
To keep your rechargeable batteries in a good condition, give them a charge at least every 3 months. Or always a day before you need the camera. Never try to use speed chargers. I still have a charger capable of charging full within 15 minutes. The barrettes are hot, and when charged that way after 10 or 20 times they are dead.
Just use the charger that came with your camera.
But if you only can shoot a few shote with your battery, buy a new battery.

16 inch poulan chainsaw got hot and started to smoke and now the recoil no longer works. I took the cover off and there is two springs that seem sprung. should I toss it and forget it or this something I...

how old is the polan 16 inch is it a solid body saw or does it have anti vibration handles, so your hands dont go numb after cutting for 15 minutes.reason i asked is: you can buy a brand new reconditioned homelite with anti vibration handle for 85.00&shiping.
at the very least, your polan needs the recoil starter fixed
and that does not address why the poulan got hot & started to smoke.
For the problems you described , at least $100.00 labor plus parts to fix at a chain saw shop
It might barely be worth it if you were a do it yourselfer and wanted to try to fix it.
if you dont want to be a diy chain saw mechanic, sell your polan for parts for $20.00 on ebay and buy a new homelite
16 inch 38 cc with anti vibration handle ,so you can cut for 6 hours straight, if need be. You get a reconditioned saw that is ready to go and a 90 day warranty. or buy the saw brand new for $110.00 and free shipping@ amazon.com

Poulan 16" saw, start fine, runs fine until it

A couple of ideas, it could be a fuel tank breather issue, when it starts to die just try loosening the fuel cap, if the saw picks up again you will need to change the breather, the only other thing i can think of is a bad ignition that is breaking down when hot, the only aswer to this is to replace the ignition unit

My first charger broke so i got a new one. And iv had it for a couple months and now its giving me problems... It started to not work in some outlets so i keeep having to move to new ones but then after...

I had my charger fail on me as well, I have a hp mini 210-1000. Before I threw the old charger out, I read the label on it carefully and found a replacement part. The label actually read "hp part number xxxxxx - REPLACE with part number xxxxxx." I simply searched for that part number on ebay and was able to get a reliable replacement. You probably don't have the old charger anymore. If you bought a universal charger to replace your old charger, then that could be the problem. Sometimes off the market universal chargers don't work so well in the long run. To find your charger, find out the exact model of your mini. google "ac adapter for hp mini [model number]. Once you get a part number, search for that part number on ebay. My replacement charger cost me only 16 dollars, with free shipping.

I agree some what with "mom" since we don't how many type relations does he maintaining without knowing us, if he got punishment, then he don't disturb other girls, he is going to be in control. McCulloch chain-saw fuel-oil ratio 3200

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 2gal premium/8oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH
