You need a heating element replaced. It is not hard to fix, the heating element should only cost you about $20.00 and for the labor it might cost you $45.00 for the repair man to fix it. A total of about$65.00 maybe even less.

Whirpool dryer, no heat, timer is not going right

no heat and the timer not operating is an incoming power problem, shut off and reset the breaker or check both fuses at the power panel in the house, the element needs 240volts a.c. to heat and the drum motor that turns the clothes is on one side of the 240volts which will be 120 volts a.c. and the timer is on the other 120 volts a.c.,if you lose either phase either the timer or drum motor wont turn and for sure it will not heat up,also check the neutral terminal wire inside the dryer for burning off as it carries all the return current from both phase power wire,if this opens tho it will only heat and no drum or timer operation

The dryer heats on and off. Sounds to be laboring to turn the drum. Service tech came out and did not know how to fix or approach the problem with why the dryer heats and dries a load and then may not on...

drum roller, drum glides, or idler assemblage which is located next to motor(might be motor going out). Here is a website that will help:

Replaced Kenmore dryer heating element. Element worked initial after being installed one time. Turned dryer off and moved dryer back. Turned the dryer on a second time and it now wont work. Drum will turn...

I would pull dryer and re-investigate the element to make sure no connection came off and to verify the coil did not burn in half. Hope this helps Tim

My creda simplicity t622cw condenser dryer wont turn

Broken or belt has come off. If can open back and fix or replace. You may need to remove the top. Careful of the heat element, lift out drum and place new belt on motor holding it while you put the drum back keep hold of belt and place around drum replace top and should be ok. Hope this Helps

Wont start door shut tight can heat timer drum lite on when door open

If you can hear the motor running with door is closed and the dryer is turned on, the the belt that turns the drum is likely off the drum or broken.

If you cannot hear the anything when the door is closed and the dryer is turned on, then the door switch is likely defective.

The other more unlikely causes are either the Timer or Switch that starts the dryer is defective.

Whirlpool dryer WED5530SQ0, heats but does not run

So,. basically your drum doesnt turn. SO your getting heat still even though the drum isnt turning. Is this right? Sounds strange??? Do you hear any humming noise when you push the start button? I need to know a little more about the problem because im kinda confused as how you decribed the problem. Iv never seen a dryer heat but the drum not spinning. especially your model dryer. Its electric heat right? because if the drum doesnt spin, maybe your motor is bad. and if your motor is bad, then your heating element wont heat up because the centrifical switch in the motor is not switching to complete the circuit to the heating element. So this is why im confused when you said" Dryer heats when knob turned but when "push button" pressed, drum doesnt run." Because your belt wraps around the motor pully and the motor is what makes the drum turn. Like i said, i never seen this model dryer heat with out the motor operating. So if you can give me some more info, ill do my best to help you out....Thanks!!!!

Dryer starts but wont stay on

There is a switch on the motor that activates when the drum is turning at the proper speed. This switch should be checked if the drum is turning properly.
