I have the autopage cs rs 665 alarm system installed on my 95 chevy caprice classic. Ive had it installed onto my car a little more than a couple of months ago and then like a week or two ago the whole system started to act weird. When i press the start up button on the remote it starts up the car and then shuts off after like a couple of seconds. Also, when i press the lock button to arm the alarm it makes a repeatedly high pitch chriping noise and it doesnt stop until i press the unlock button. Then, when i press the unlock button it doesnt unlock right away i will have to keep pressing the button until it unlocks. I have to remotes and it happens with both of them so i dont believe it would be the remotes but i dont know it could be anything. So if anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

    also i do not have a valet button, i have the plug in for it but the valet button is not connected.

SOURCE: I have a aftermarket alarm that trips 60 sec after armed.

if im not mistaken it does that because your interior lights dont turn off as soon as you close the door.. it delays a lil bit, and when you set your alarm it detects that the door is being opened. try arming your alarm after the lights have turned off and if that solved it you can take your vehicle to an alarm place for them to program your alarm to learn that function..
either that or maybe your door trigger wire is tapped to the wrong wire on the car...

If the alarm brain does not have a sticker with the ID number than you will have to pull the SIM card out. The SIM card will have the ID number imprinted on it.

your resistor chip on your VATS key make look fine but there are also contacts just inside your key way on your ignition that work with your key to make the connection to the cars computer allowing it to read the resistors value and if it matches, allows to car to start, if it does not make proper contact some time, it will not read the key and car will not start, probably you need to have the ignition replaced.......
