could be mpeg of tv channel not supported by tv
research the tv channel digital encoding used and research the tv digital encoding supported.
can get around this by using a digital tv converter that supports mpeg format.

Hard to say but I suppose if you can change the caps surely you already know about their polarity ;) but I'd double check that and look for cold soldered joints.

It sounds like a powere supply problem. You will need to take the back off and test the voltages that are printed on the power pcb with a digital multimeter. Need to check the power button light, if it is on then you have the 5VDC standby power and the issue might be the main board. I will do further research on this problem.

Try tv unplug,replug it an hour later.The tv will now resetting back to factory setting.The tv should work now.Not,than the power supply board is dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacenent.

Power supply problem, that will be the first place to look.

try different ways of sending the audio to the speakers. you can go digital out from the tv into your receiver or go directly from your cable/satellite box into your receiver. I use both...from the tv for netcast and from the box for all others. assuming you are going through a receiver

My LG LCD HD TV was doing the same thing. I would turn it on and within about 10 minutes the screen would go black.

After much research and troubleshooting I ended up having to send it out for servicing.

Before you do that, try these steps

1. Is your TV plugged in to a power strip, splitter, UPS or other power sharing device? If so, plug it directly in to a wall outlet. If the TV is getting low power it can cause issues
2. Does your TV have other video sources plugged in to it? (Example, Digital Cable, DVD Player,XBox 360) If so, try a different source and see if the problem still happens. If the problem does away, it could be the source. If the problem still happens then its still a problem :-)

I've done a little research and I don.t see where you have a ATSC tuner that receives the over the air digital signal. You have a basic Analog tuner. The only way you can receive digital is by a HD cable box by having cable or going to Satellite.
