Hpa pavillion dv4-1220us has very high fan nosie and overheating problem

Following are the reasons for overheating, just take care of these things::
Stop Overclocking your CPU
Make sure your Heat Sink is placed properly above the processor
Clean the Processor fan, Heat Sink and other peripherals
Use High Speed fans
Use CPU Heat Sink Paste in the processor
Use Additional Cooling Units
Shut down your computer at least two hour a day
Finally i will suggest you to get system utility program like PC Fresher to maintain your system performance

Ok, this is an overheating preventing function of your computer. You need to get this fan fixed as soon as possible, because overheating of the CPU will cause the CPU to bun out.

You will need to order this fan, because it is not a generic fan.

Basically speaking, air is air. Now it's the pressure that's the concern. co2 bottles use a regular valve that has a pin in it and opens to allow the gas through. High Pressure Air - HPA is the same concept but since the pressure with co2 is built up by expanding gas, HPA has to do it with pressure only. So the tank is pressurized a LOT higher than co2, but there's a regulator on the tank valve to bring the working pressure into the marker to the proper level.

So yes, you can use "air", but you need to make sure it has the right output for your marker. (i.e. not a low pressure HPA valve.).

You'll have the same problem though, getting someone to fill the bottle. Check with your local airsmith and paintball fields and stores. If they have co2 they would have HPA, but some do only deal with HPA since it's "easier" in some cases.

You may have to check around. Sometimes hardware stores have a small section in back, or you can check with the paintball places around to see if anyone in your area is equipped. Some teams have their own tanks, especially if there's not a place to get fills locally.

There's also online communities like Brigade and various paintball sites where you can check around for other players. Someone may have a co2 fill tank, a scuba tank for HPA, or a group that gets tanks together to make a run and get them filled somewhere.

It is good idea to repair it in service before burn out. Fan blockage may lead to processor overheating and burning ... so as soon as better regards Greg

Mine got so hot the Motherboard burnt up and cost $300 to fix. It still gets hot and I use a cooling fan. This is REDICULOUS!!

I have been updating hundreds of DV units with a new updated BIOS that changes the algorithm for how the fan operates and turns them on high more frequently to augment additional cooling. I also belive that the program "Speedfan" will allow to manually set the fan speed.

It is highly improbable that heat from the CPU can crack a LCD screen. Even if the fan was faulty the CPU would have shutdown (thermal overload) before it would affect the LCD screen. If you apply pressure to the face of the LCD screen or twist the screen or impact the screen with a hard object, any of these will cause the LCD screen to crack.

it sounds more like the system is overheating to me, they are classic signs.
Have you tried to clean the system fan and the air vents with compressed air? if not try that and see if it stays on longer.

Are you wirless or wired to the network?

If wireless, you just may be getting a crudy signal, try getting closer to access point ( router).

Also, Verizon sux, i hate them, personally.

Anyways.
If you show the connection is good, then it could just be you have a slow system. I need to know your specs.

1. What operating system
2. What type and how much RAM
3. What kind of processor
4. what kind of Video Card?
5. Dial up? or High speed DSL ?
6. Wired or wirless?

Oh, its not overheating is it. When it runs slow, is the cooling fan reving really high? Is it giving off alot of heat besides the norm when it starts acting up?
