Our 2007 pt cruiser had computer replaced, and now the car will not shift gears, we check tran fluid optimal level, turn key back and forth several times until it says done. then drives normally.why?

On new cars there are several ways to reset the computer. I got a truck I have to turn key on and hit gas 5 times fast and 30 seconds, and then start it. *What always works is to disconnect battery- Negative(black first) then the positive (red side)-(do not let touch sides of metal firewalls). after 30 + seconds hook it back up and it should reset the computer.

Need to know which fuse to pull in order to disable the fuel pump so I can change an injector on a 2007 PT Cruiser 2.4L I power dist box lid is not labeled and there is no owners manual

It actually might be better to just disconnect the negative side of the battery and then bleed the pressure off manually, that is how we do it at my shop.

Battery charge Diesel PT Cruiser

You can connect the - or negative to the negative on the battery or whereever it will reach on the engine or body. The engine and battery are preferable. Just be sure it makes good contact, bare shiny metal is best, a quick rub with a file or sandpaper before you hook up is a good idea. Watch the guage on the charger as youwiggle the charger cables to see if it moves higher. If it does, clean up your contact points. Hope this helps.

Pt cruiser electrical

It could be your alternator. If the battery light is on thats usualy what thats a sign of and areason it may still run and not accelarate is your battery has enough juice to start it, but not to keep it running. If this is the case try hooking jumper cables to it and seeing if you can throttle it up with them hooked up.
