HI.. I have formatted my lenovo 3000 c100 and now audio is not working. I have tried all possible ways, installed the drivers from the lenovo site. But still it is not able to detect the audio device. It was working perfectly before formatting it. Someone please help.

to tell u the truth...Microsoft has done some gooffup with respect to some updates in WinXP SP2....everyone who were in SP2, their system was auto updated by some MS patch upload...in that process the update has screwed up the IRQ of the sound card chip...and rendered the sound adaptor useless...any amount of driver update may not revert back the sound chip to use....this "as they call"...."business strategy"....to make people move from older machines to newer machines with Win7....even some have reported display issues while using SP2....
