For no apparent reason, my Epson CX5000 printer now has all the lights flashing (and an "E" on the copies display). There had been no problems before and nothing happened to suggest a problem was coming. Help!

Well myob247, I must confess your solution is, in my opinion, quite useless. Providing a link to the EPSON site where users a told to "go get your printer fixed" is no different than opening the users manual and reading "go get your printer fixed". How about some useful information? How do I reset the error state? How do I diagnose the actual error code to determine what is wrong with the device?

Having the same problem. All lights flashing for no apparent reason. Could it be humidity?
me too
all lights are flashing and theres no paper jam...
Mine started having this problem around August 20th.
I just replaced my blue and red cartriges (magenta and cyan). Expensive MOFOs!. I have changed them before without any problems. I followed the instructions. Now my system shows that the yellow is low. Luckily I bought the yellow and black cartridge. Now my system shows that my blue is totally out and the red is about to go low. I tried the ritual about 10 times. It's going to be cheaper to buy a new printer instead of keep replacing cartridges. Also, I just print in black and white and my color ink eventually keeps dropping. Is there a way to print only in black and white instead of depending on having full color cartridges to print with black ink?
merci
My printer is also displaying a full error state. I suspect that the bulk ink system interfered with the print head's ability to travel back and forth. I re-routed the ink lines and secured them so they will not cause the same problem but I am unable to clear the error state. How do I reset the error state of diagnose the error condition?
all the lights are on my epson stylus cx3810 help.
