Hi,

The machine will not run if the covers /for the coffee grinder, the filter basket and the machine itself) are not properly closed.
It will beep and stop running if it is turned on when one of the covers is open or if one is opened before the end of the cycle. The beeping will stop as soon as the cover is closed.
To start the machine again, press the ON button.

These instructions are to a DGB600 but i think it is the same to your model.

Hello- I have the DGB600 and after cleaning it a few times the lid is warped which causes the sensors to not think the lid is shut when it actually is. Do you know of a way to deactivate that sensor? For now I have a tall coffee tumbler pressing the lid down from underneath by cabinets but the other side of the lid is warping now too so that won't work for much longer. Cuisinart has offered to replace the unit but I'm not sure what good that will do when I know it will only happen again. Thanks!

While attempting to clean our DGB-500 Coffee maker, my wife touched a button, and now it continues to beep and will not start. Can you give us a suggestion as to how to get it to start.

I think that touching any button should not get any problem to the Coffee maker. But, I would try to unplug it from the wall outlet and let it unplugged for at least 10 min, in order to reset the Microcontroller inside it. Then try again to put it working. If nothing changed, try living it unplugged for more time. Or try pressing buttons and hold them some seconds while plugged on AC.

DGB-600 won't stop beeping and is missind grinder

The grinder cover has a white pin as a part of the cover that acts as a go between for the plastic molded post on the cover and a contact switch in the unit. Without the cover in place the molded post is not long enough to reach the contact switch and "tell" the machine it's o.k. to brew. It will beep incesssantly and do nothing. Get a replacement cover, or jury rig something to act as a replacement for the grinder cover pin. You can manually push in the switch to get it to stop beeping, but it will spring back out as soon as you release it.

It won't stop beeping. I've unplugged it for hours to reset the clock, but it still keep beeping. I've cleaning it, I've smacked it. It won't stop beeping.

Hello dmtdds,
This should be an easy fix. Inside the top of most Cuisinarts there is a water filter stick. Usually in one of the corners. Pull it out and remove the clogged carbon filter. Clean out the debris in the bottom of the cavity. Replace the filter stick into the cavity. (You can buy new filters on Amazon inexpensively, they should be replaced every 60 days.) Flush your unit with 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar, then rinse with a pot of fresh water. The beeping should stop and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps you. Good luck! Positive feedback appreciated. NormanZ

Beeping will not stop and coffee maker will not operate

The constant beeping means something is out of place. Take out all removable parts and put them back in their proper place (and close the lid when you are done) - should stop beeping after that.

I just purchased a dgb 550 series 2 days ago, I was moving it and it is now making a beeping sound and will not allow me to do anything, I have unplugged it and replugged and it still does this I tried to...

The constant beeping means that something is out of place - make sure the charcoal water filter holder is in place, even if there are no filters inside. Make sure the grind chamber and all parts are in place. Make sure the filter basket is in place, and that the door is closed. Finally, make sure the lid of the coffee maker tiself is shut and that the lid of the craffe is firmly in place. If everything is in place, it should stop beeping. Turn the coffeemaker off, and then on after all of this is done.

Coffee maker

The beeping is typically caused by the grinder safety interlock. There is a small pin on the clear grinder cover that needs to be in place so that it is depressed into the safety switch when the cover is closed. The interlock switch prevents the grinder from working when the cover is open. Check to be sure that the pin in the grinder cover is not broken.

Cannot get "beeping" to stop

Try the following if you opened the cover and unit beeps. This will happen if you set up the coffee maker and then decide that you want to add more water and coffee before starting it:

You will notice that there is a small white (typically) button on the clear cover of the coffee grinder. When it is in place and the lid is closed, the button depresses a safety interlock inside a small plastic post to prevent the grinder from working without the clear cover on and the lid closed. Quite sensible from a safety perspective. Depress the white button to reset the switch or take a pen and carefully do the same. The beeping should stop.

Won't start

DGB-300 - continuously beeping indicates that something is out of place - either the grind basket isn't exactly in place, the filter basket is loose, the water filter holder is out of place, or the lid of the coffee maker is open.

DGB-300 10 cup grind and brew

The constant beeping means that something is out of place. Take apart the coffeemaker parts completely and put them back in their proper place (don't forget to close the lid). The beep should stop. If it doesn't stop, unplug the unit for one hour and call Cuisinart to see if it is still in warranty.
