3 blinks is a lamp cover error, did you make sure that the lamp cover is screwed in tight? Also check the lamp cover for deformity, there is a problem with your model where the set over heats and melts the lamp cover a little causing it not to make connection with the lamp cover switch. Let me know if you find either of these problems? If not we can troubleshoot a little further.
youve most likely got an issue with the CRTs one most likely which cuts out and back in randomly. Try removing the rear cover and look in at the three crts while its doing that and see if you can see one or more keep turning off and on.
Hi, Did you buy the original lamp? If the problem is related to the lamp door switch, you will get a different error instead of lamp LED.
Do you hear the color wheel spinning? Again, if it's a color wheel problem the error will be different! My good guess is the lamp but, it could be the ballast or both.
It is very common for the color of the lamp to change as it nears the end of it's life. Depending on the bulb itself you may see yellow, green, or blue shifts (I have even seen red/orange). This is due to the diminishing output of the bulb and while you can make some adjustment you will eventually hit the point of failure. The bulb could in fact last several more weeks or even months depending on your use and environment. It is probably a good time to start searching for a replacement now so you can replace it as soon as it dies or just replace it now if the color is too bad to be worthwhile.
no and yes the lamp warning is to alert you that a timer has expired that clocks the approximated life of the lamp in "hours of use". it is never accurate and is dependent on whether or not it was reset the last time a lamp was replaced. reset the lamp timer in the users "setup" menu.
the lamp has NOTHING to do with color, it only provides light.
check the connections between the TV and cable/satelite box...the red.green.blue component connector...the red one is likely loose. if this does not correct you color problem, your optical engine has failed. very expensive repair, not for the DIY type guy.
service is very important be four replacement of lamp if you have a Multi color background in your image then your projector just need service of LCDs and inner parts of projector.
you have to check preset picture mode if still not good then reset setting in setup mode.after that your picture become good.
if problem still then there is problem with LCD panel.
You are missing either red drive signal to CRT or you have a cold / fractured solder joint on the television. Also with the set unplugged check with a non metalic object like a ruler or a wooden spoon and start tapping around in the front or back of set and see what happens. See if you can narrow which area of the set has a problem... Good luck future technician.. Happy holidays.. Jay
while replacing the color wheel you know you see two cords running from it the blue/white cord and that copper cord. if you replaced both the color wheel and lamp, then it could be that copper cord just switch it around i did that and now my tv works
