I bought an goldstar ac unit and i followed the instructions on the box
re the installation..... but the unit does not start ...I am getting no
power to the unit. I did the test as instructed which is to push the
reset button did plug in and the resset button pops up....but the
unit simply isn't powering up.
I left the unit off for over 8 hrs before I plug it in ..the box had recommended 3 hrs for the gas to resettle.
Can anyone help.
Did you try to plug a lamp into the same outlet as you have the A/C plugged into? It could be that you have no power at the outlet or the circuit breaker could be off or tripped. Something should run like the fan only position.
New goldstars have a reset button on plug. Hit button.

Goldstar 6000 shows power cord on with green light but power wont come on unit. Has been working fine and moved to another house. We have 2 and both are doing the same thing.
My Goldstar all of a sudden powered off overnight and I went to power on both with the remote control and the unit. It did not come on. I unplugged the unit and and hit the reset button. it did not reset. I hit the test button. no results. Im about to take the thing back to walmart.
