I cant find the service screen on my remote. I just replaced my ic's and the red is still there! DAMN! i hope my soldering is ok>? Will a cold solder joint do it? i mean does the solder actually have to run down the wire into the hole? Now what. im lost...pleeeze help me someone

Do you have the proceedure to adjust the convergence with the remote and the convergence menu?
that model usually blows the 1.5ohm 1 watt resistor. You can access the service menu by pressing sleep timer then while it still says 0 presss display and V status down together and you will access the service menu. But on your model if you remove the speaker grille and access panel you will see the convergence board right there on the right side. right next to the ic heatsink you will see a real tiny push button. Press that button and that will bring up the convergence grids so you can adjust each color.

yes but i thought you could do more with the remote and the service/technitian screen menu. i thought you hold down sleep and v status but that doesnt work. I wish i could get the # of the resistor i have to change but cant get any info on that. The ics are changed, red is still way out. i heard there was a resistor too but dont know witch one (sob)
