Ipod nano blue 4GB ipod nano old one stutters constatly and freezes. paid $199 for it and wondering if with my waranty i could possibly exchnge it for a new 8GB ipod nano since it is the same price?

If you left it sitting in the box "for a few years"...then that's why.
The battery has to be used to stimulate the "memory" of the battery. If it was charged once and never used again, then of course it is going to have a battery issue.

slide the hold switch on and off a couple of times...then press and hold menu and center buttons till an apple logo comes on screen...connect to system and restore with itunes.

take it to the apple store for a new battery.  I'd send it back for another one.

Restore the IPod to Factory settings you can do it through your ipod by going in settings or you can do it through itunes.

i want to change the list of songs i have in my ipod nano but how come the old once doesn't appear anymore but can't store new ones.. Keep on saying "not enough memory... need your help... thanks..

flick the hold button back and forth a few times, then, making sure that it is unlocked press and hold the menu and middle button together. hold them down until it goes dark and the apple mark comes up. hope this helps?

As a mom who did the exact same thing to her 14 year olds Ipod, I can totally empathize. However the only solution I came up with was to purchase a new Ipod. My daughter still has her original one due to sentimental value, it was engraved. It still has not ever worked again and this happened in March.

Sorry I don't have a better solution.

Is this a new nano (3G)?  If so, the only way to output videos is by purchasing a new Apple component or composite cable.  They are $49.  No other way exists apart from connecting it to your computer to play videos outside of the ipod itself.
