WEAK COPIES ON XEROX COPIER
You need to 1 remove the glass and clean the mirrors, lens and bottom side of the glass.
Also, remove the toner and drum cartridge, use a flash light. On the left side you will see a "window" about 5/16th of an inch in height, and probably 5 or 6 inches wide. That is the laser window, it is probably pretty dirty. You may have to use a Q tip or a soft cloth, dampened with some glass cleaner, and clean that window well.
If the optics, and laser are dirty , hazy, the copies will be light and streaky. The drum may be bad. Also, on the right hand door, Look just above the rollers, there will be an opening, it has a small clear plastic guide, then open with a hair fine wire running through it. Take a Q tip dampened with some alcohol, and carefully clean that wire. You can apply light pressure to clean it, just don't get forceful, it does not take a lot of pressure to clean that wire. That wire is responsible for "transferring" the ink from the drum to the paper.
If you clean all 3, Optics, Laser window and transfer wire, I think you will be very very pleased with your copy and or print quality. That should restore it very well.
