Shouldn't be difficult- - Remove the card - Open 'My Computer' which will show all drives - Plug card into card drive and watch which drive letter is added.

Internal memory full

Internal memory is full after you shot only a few pictures Actualy you only have 11 Megabyte free for pictures. If you want to make more pictures, you have to insert a SD memory card. Make sure you buy a SD and not a SDHC or SDXC card, because nothing in the manual says your camera is compatible with these bigger cards.
If you happen to have a SDHC card you are free to try if it works, but don't buy one unless you are sure it works.

8gp pendrive became 4gp

This can happen if you attempt to write or format a high capacity card (SDHC) in a SD card reader / writer.

You might be able to undo this if you insert the card in a SDHC card reader / writer. You may or may not be able to retrieve the data on the card however.

Sometimes, removing a card or USB drive while data is still being written to the card can cause this too. Again, the data may no longer be accessible - and the full capacity may no longer be available on the device.

I have a Jazz HDV149 Digital Camcorder. when you turn it on and insert a memory card it asks you to format it. Yes is automatically highlighted but when you hit the center button to format nothing...

Try changing it to "No". I always have trouble figuring out whether highlighted means light or dark on these menus.

If it still doesn't format, maybe you are using a memory card with too high a capacity. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity a camera will use, as today's memory cards are much larger that those available when the manual for the camera was written.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Insert sd card into slot nothing happens. even with new card

Your computer sd card reader can't read newer sd sticks. Any computer purchased before 2007 doesn't support the sdhc stick. Any computer after 2007 does.

Cannot download pictures from 4GB SDHC SanDisk Card

If your card reader is working, the card will show as a drive in "My Computer". Open the drive and you should see your photos.
On your desk-top, right click and select "New" then "folder" and name it "Camera Photos".
Select the photos you want to transfer from the camera card, select "file" from the windows toolbar, then "cut".
Open your new desktop folder and select "file" again from the toolbar, then, "paste".
Your photos should transfer in a minute or so.

Nothing happens when I put in a 2gb SD chip

Check to make sure it isn't an SDHC card. Most older card readers aren't able to read the formatting of the newer cards. You may need to buy a new card reader with SDHC support.
