When I turn on my panasonic digital camera DMC-LZ7 (with fresh batteries) it attempts to focus but cant then displays a message saying "turn off camera and turn back on again". If i do this, the same problem appears

Looks like a problem with the CCD sensor. Try removing batteries, and SD card for 5 minutes. Replace new batteries and try again.
If issue persists, you will have to get the piece serviced.

How to connect to computer

Please follow the instructions below to connect your Lumix DMC-LZ7 Digital Camera to your computer

1.Install the software ( LUMIX Simple Viewer or PHOTOfunSTUDIO-viewer-) in the CD-ROM (supplied) to your PC.
2.Set the camera to a mode other than the PRINT Mode.
3.Turn on the camera and the PC
4.Connect the camera to the PC via USB Cable (A) as shown in the diagram.Cable (B) is the optional AC Adaptor ( No need if batteries are used )

What are the standard settings for panasonic dmc lz7

Please press Menu to display the Setup Menu and select Reset to return settings to the initial ones. Then you can check to see what all the standard settings are.

My DMC-LZ7 started having the same "please replace batteries" error a few weeks ago (bought in 2007). It only seems to happen with my NiMH rechargables, though they test as full-strength with a cheap battery tester. Alkalines don't cause the error and I haven't tried Oxyride (ZR6) batteries yet.

see the manual that comes along with the camera.. just search the index for night mode.. you dont need to read the entire manual.. but if you want raelly good results and become a good photographer you need to read all of it.. it will really help.. good luck.
