A bad temperature sensor? Or you have the temps set to read Celsius?

Control board has gone bad....

What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.

To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.

Is this a digital or standard model . That helps me in figuring this out.

Hello Oran - Typically error code F7 on Frigidaire freezer indicates that the unit has detected a stuck key or fail safe mode initiated. Check if it has a thermistor failure and may possibly need to replace the main control board. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

You have a bad sensor. There are two on it I believe.

That switch allows a temprature alarm to work or not to work depending on which way it is switched. That way you have time to move your contents when the temprature gets above freezing in the freezer. Please make coment and rate me and my knowledge if this answers your question. Thanks

why not then when its down to zero shut the unit off and open the lid and free freezing...no electricity required....remember pop machines sit out in all types of weather

please switch off your refrigerator for at least 5 hrs. than again switch it on. if your problem is not cured than it is sure that you have your gas chockage....... please visit your service authority
