Intermittently working. When I unplug and then replug, I have been able to get it to work. However, this past weekend could not get the router to work. It is approximately 5 years old. WR 1500. When I plus computer directly into internet modem I can get online, so I know it is the wireless router that is having problems. I have checked all connections. Help!

IF you have a Modem and a Router & you have the cables on both hooked up right just unplug the Modem for 1 min and replug it back in and after that unplug the Router for 1 min and replug it back in and they should auto detect or set up and they should work.

Try power cycling the router:
1. unplug the power cord from the router
2. unplug the power cord from the modem
3. replug the power cord to the modem
4. replug the power cord to the router

for best results, wait approx. 30 seconds before re powering the devices.

Sounds like you may have to change the fan motor itself.

Oh Wireless card is failing, or your Internet Router doesn like you.

Reset the router by unplugging the power for 10 seconds then replug that back in, and try again

Make sure the wireless device is enabled on the computer.

Unplug the router for 10 minutes, then plug it in and try it.

In none of that works, check the configuration and ensure it is "Broadcasting SSID", It won't appear in the list if it's not broadcasting.

*press the reset for more than 1 min *while holding the reset unplug the powercord and plug it in 3 times ---- make sure u need to hold the reset while u unplug and replug
*the interval for each unplug and replug must be 15 secs
* then it has to work

* try connecting ur belkin router to different power socket * try with different power adapter * or else press the reset key for more than 1 min while holding the reset unplug the router power cable and plug it back again 3 times.--- while holding the reset u shouldnt release the reset while u unplug and replug. the interval between each unplug and replug should be 15 seconds. * then release the reset then unplug the power cable and plug it back * it has to work or else replace it with the belkin tech support

Reboot your computer,

Check your cables in machine especially the one that looks like an oversized phone cord. (cat5). Unplug replug.

If you have cable modem power down along with any wireless router power cable modem up first wait 30 seconds to 1 minutes. Then power router on

If it is dsl just unplug and replug the dsl modem and any attached routers plug in dsl modem first then plug in router if applicable.


If your at work try

You might want to see if it is a cordless phone if it is interfering with the router? If they are at the same frequencies they can interfere with each causing each other not to work.. I have had that happen to my Linksys phone and Router

u may setted mac filtering on teh router it wont allow new pc to communicate u need to to master reset connect teh power to the router look the back u can find reset hole take pen hit that and hold it for 40 sec and reboot the router by unplug teh power and wait 30 sec and replug it back and then u can login to teh router to change the settings>rate me solved if its helps thx
