They are called "bulbous bows" and are designed to reduce the wake generated and therefore increase the efficiency with which large ship moves through the water. On warships, bow mounted sonar domes can also serve this purpose. I have never seen one on anything small. In the days of the Greek and Roman triremes, they had rams mounted that way in order to hole the hulls of enemy ships.

A ship with a waterline area of 20000 square meter has vertical sides at the water line plane. In seawater with density of 1025kg/cubic meters, the draught of the ship is 3meter.I am confused,

The weight of the ship is 20,000*3*1,025 = 61,500,000 kg; To have a 3m draught in fresh water, it would have to weigh 20,000*3*1000 = 60,000,000 kg; That means it needs to remove 1,500,000 kg (1,500 T) of cargo before sailing into fresh water.

On of my two front jets is leaking from the back. How do I fix it? Thanks Bob Auld

You need access from the back of the jet. What you do is cut out the old one and install a new one. I suggest that you use a marine grade, under the waterline sealer. Silicone will not work. The under the waterline sealers take several days to cure, but they work. The hoses get glued with a PVC type of sealer that you get from a hot tum place, along with the jets needed.

I have water seeping out from under the refrigerator. I have takenteh front grill out but cannot accesst he pan. I suspect a pump or waterline problem. My Refirgerator is a 1995

Can be the auto defrost water is overflowing in the collection tray.
It can be plumbing lines leaking in the inlet.
it canbe the deffrost tubing leaking onthe way down or the evaporator tray leaking out.
Best is to drain and check once again with the fridge moved forward and inbetter position to check.

Where are blower resistor and relay located on 1995 Park Avenue?

For most common location, open hood and look near cowl for a plug near the air conditioning box just forward of the windshield wipers. It should have several wipers and the resistor itself protrudes downward into the box held in place with two screws. Screws have 7mm, 8mm, or 1/4 inch hex head.

If not: look near blower itself under the dash on the passenger side. The resistor should protrude upwards into the HVAC housing near the blower.

Won't sew forward, backward etc

You will have to disassemble the machine. Respond if you want to try it.
and best way here.......

Unfortunately, since your machine is electronic, it is too dangerous to test at home without knowing exactly what you are doing. I suggest taking your machine to a local repair man

How do we access the waterline inside the freezer door?

The waterline comes out the lower door hinge. Unhook from coupler at bottom. Now go to the despencer and carefully take the cover off some have screws under drip plate or clipped which a flathead screw driver works nicely dont scratch finish. With proper water line usualy 1/8 size about 5foot long snake it down to the bottom hinge and rehook up. In some case if the tube gets kinked you may have to remove door to do it it. Usually pretty easy.
