My phone only rings 3 times then stops how can i make it ring longer thanks brian

You will need your deposit # (if you don't have it call customer service)
If you have the deposit # then enter as follows & be certain to pause between each entry:

send (as in making a call)

This will increase rings to 5 or 6 which is the max for Consumer Cellular

When it stops ringing, the caller goes to your voice mail, right?

If so, then you need to contact your phone company and have them change your "Ring Cycle" -- that's the number of rings before the voice mail system picks up.

Some phone companies have a way for you to do this yourself from their website, other require that you call up the customer service line. Either way, the thing you want to adjust is your voice mail ring cycle.

How do i make my phn ring longer then it is now

The length of the ring depends on the model of phone, however, phones will come with different sounds that you can select from. These sounds that come with the phone are preset in length and cannot be changed. If your phone has a place to download ring tone, commonly shown as an option of "get new ring tones" in the menu of your phone, then the ring tones may be longer then the one you have. Another option for a longer ring tone is if the phone allows you to add you own songs by connecting to your computer, which would be done by a supplies cable, or by a memory card. However, not all phones allow music that is added to be used as ring tones. Finally, the ring of your phone will continue to loop until the caller has stopped calling. If this is not the case, please tell me what model of phone its is you have so i can look further into it.

This is usually a setting that your phone service provider sets. I am in Australia, and we would contact our service provider 'Telstra' and ask them to extend the ring time to 30 seconds (maximum).

Main water line to house. Changing shut off valve. New shut off valve has compression fittings. Will teflon tape interfere w/brass compression ring inside the fitting? thanks Brian

I would try to tighten it up without putting tape on it. The ring will compress into pipe when you tighten it to form a seal.
If then it try's to leak you may apply tape or a paste type sealant to stop drip.

Your voicemail thinks that it is ringing six times. The time that it takes to transfer to the extensions counts. Whiloe it seems that there is a lapse the system actually is using enough time to ring six times total. If you need longer ring time at the extension, take in account the transfer time and set it to pick up after 8 or 9 rings. It will actually only ring six. You just have to trick the system a little.

Phone doesn't ring long enough

Apparently the problem was at the networks end. I had to ring them to set the ring to a longer time and had them deactivate voiemail.

Lengthen my ring time

hello you need to go into your settings then click on divert, it will say your settings are on divert:if unavailable thats why your phone call cuts off if you havent answerd it in a certain amount of time. So just turn divert off completely and your fone will ring longer
