Apparently we're not talking about a DSC-P200 since that's a 7MP camera and you claim to have a 1.3MP camera.

Try to right click on the image files while they are read on the memory card or on the camera hard-wired to your computer. Click on copy then click on your desktop of your computer to paste them. They may just be creating short-cuts rather than placing the file onto your computer.

Probably not worth repairing. Sorry, these are disposable products.

When I turn my Syber shot 6.0 mega pixels on it shows only a white or dark display. The fotos taken are the same. It seems that something is not opening the lens. What is the problem and how can I fix it?

At the top of the LCD it indicates the resolution:

A small square with numbers and letters on it: 3.1M , 2.8M (3:2), 2.0M, 1.3M and VGA.
