The MyMusix PD 135-02 series has a firmware problem that in my case makes it completely freak out and stop working. The only thing that's worked for me is to re-install the firmware. The file is called PlayerUpdate.exe but I don't know where to download it anymore. I used to be on the MyMusix web site but now I can't find it. Good luck.

What do you mean by locked, there should be a lock and unlock button on the side, but if it's in the lock simply move to unlock, or maybe take apart and move from inside? Can you atleast pull up folder on My Computer and see what is on Mp3?

SOURCE: Problem in formatting Creative MuVo V200 MP3 player FM Voice Recorder 1 GB

The below was copyed from an earlier post of mine. Over a period of time your info can get corrupt from transering music back and forth. To format plug it in to usb. Go to my computer It shows up as a removably disc, usually drive f: Right click on drive f: (or the approriate drive) and click format. Let me know what happens, you will have reload the player, also try bypassing the software you are using to tranfer, by opening up drive f: and clicking and dragging your music into it , or you can copy and paste it into drive f: L8R

SOURCE: DISK ERROR WHEN I TRY TO USE MP3

I had the same issue and just connected the device to my computer USB connection and performed a quick format on the drive and it now works. You will be warned that reformatting the drive will erase all the data, which will happen. But you can simply reload your music and be back in business... Rod

SOURCE: my mp3 player is stuck at the voice record screen

Reset it first by holding in the power button for 10-15 seconds. If that fails:
Connect the device to the PC in MSC Mode
View/c200: Turn on then press and hold the rewind button while plugging to the PC

Hi I have purchased 5 x Thomson 6677 mp3 players. They are a cheap little 1GB player which I planned to use as give aways for business development with audio material about our company...

try relabeling the tracts in the following order. 01,02,03 etc. Reason the indexing on the device might be set to rearrange based on single numbers.

hope this helps.

Can I save a WAV file to MP3 format

There is a free program called Media Monkey - it will convert WAV format to Mp3 (actually, it will convert any non-protected music file type - it's very dynamic). It may take a while to figure out how to do the first one, but it will get easier after that.

First, you have to plug the Thomson in to your computer, double-click "My Computer," and then double-click the icon of the Thomson. There should be a folder called "Voice or "REC". If it doesn't show up, select in the window: Tools --> Folder Options --> View --> select Show Hidden Files and folders. Now the right folder should show up. Then, drag the WAV recording to your desktop (or your "My Music" fodler - whichever works best for you), and the computer should make a copy of the WAV recording onto your computer.

Now open up Media Monkey and it should, after several minutes find all music files on your computer, including the WAV recording. Then right-click the WAV recording, and it should have an option to covnert the file type - convert to mp3, and you're done.

Good luck!
